so about 30 minutes spent jacking car and putting jack stands on only to find out that the bolts connecting the mid pipe and cat are on ridiculously tight. so is there a trick to this? bc i tried and tried for a good 20 minutes with no success. i hear more leverage is the trick so perhaps a breaker bar(?) might work? i dont know.. so now the n1 is just sitting in my room teasing me..

Spray some penetrating lube and use a big breaker bar.

LMAO penetrating lube... but thanks i'll try it. hopefully i can get a sound clip of it tonight if i manage to get it on and it doesnt snow.

You have access to a cordless impact wrench? Perhaps borrow one from someone?

yeah theres a auto crafts shop on post here, im gonna hit them up after i get off work.
webby great video!

Grab your wratchet. Then wrap the box end of a 11/16 wrench (or any size that will fit over the ratchet handle) and use the wrench for leverage with the ratchet. I'll try to take a pic of what I mean.

thanks for the advice everyone. successfully put on the n1 yesterday. those rubber hangers are such a pain. i will get a sound clip as soon as im able to.

WD-40 was my best friend with those, and sticking a screwdriver in to open it up helps too

Usually, spraying WD-40 and letting it sit for an hour or two (maybe less) will do the trick.
