help with lowering info please :)

I have a 2012 HFP and i already know my car is lower then the normal SI but i still want my car lower, but with no rub. Do i need to get more then just the springs? I want to have it done properly so it is proper. Help please?

About how much lower do you want to go?
 
i wanted to get so theres virtually no extra space above the wheels so another inch?. i want the suspension to be performance based still.
 
ya thats why im asking you guys because i don't have much experience with suspension. I want to do it properly so its pretty low but performance still. If i need camber kit and shocks thats fine i juat want to do it properly :) remember the HFP has 18's on it :P thanks in advance everyone!

You can go lower. If you just want to stick with drop springs, eibach sportlines or neuspeed sports springs will give you about a 1.5" drop. The neuspeeds will be better performing, as far as handling goes.

But the sport lines are still a good alternative for someone wanting to go a little lower than hfp.
 
The only problem with the Neuspeed (rear springs) is that the HFP rear struts won't be able to handle the high spring rates. It would be safe to get Koni Yellow rear struts with those springs. Fronts are fine.
 
Yes, if you want to keep your hfp shocks, go with the sportlines. If you want to upgrade shocks, go with the neuspeeds.
 
well i don't care what i keep lol should i get everything all around or what? shocks and springs? camber kit too? whats the overall agreement? i would like ir done properly not it should work and hopefully wont wreck anything :) thanks!

Imo, do sportlines and camber arms. It's what I just did. Have a look at the drop..

Well what do you want? Absolute best performance? Adjust ability? Best bang for the buck? There are a lot of different routes to go. It mostly depends on what you're looking for.
 
I think you'll be more than fine with the Sportlines and camber arms. And with the HFP struts, you might have a weeny bit more drop compared to stock struts.
 
well its said my HFP has approximately 1" drop from stock SI suspension. And i would like maybe another .75-1" so its still practical and with the 18" rims it'll look good. Im not worried about $$. I dont see the need to adjust if there set proper from factory too. Dar-Dar: what will that drop me? another 3/4 inch? so 1.75 from stock SI? remember i want to have it all done proper without possible problems down the road. :)

thats about the ride height im at now ur probably .25inch lower then me but i want to be a little lower like 1 finger width between my hfp tires and rims and fender

I can barely get one finger in the wheel gap. It's a nearly 2 inch drop front and rear. Guess the picture doesn't show it well.
 
You'd need coilovers to be an inch lower than that. Check the link under my post for your options on suspension.

I really can't guarantee a perfect drop (or your preference) with lowering springs. So maybe coilovers will be a better option for you since they are adjustable. Camber kits are still needed, especially with a drop like what you want.
