How to get out little dings and nicks on headlights

I've clay barred them, polished them, and even waxed them, but to no avail, when I turn on my headlights I'm greeted by all these little imperfections in my headlights, how do you smooth them over?
 
They're never going to be 100%. Any time you drive you'll get bugs, dirt, rocks etc thrown at them. After doing any type of sanding/polishing on your headlights, you really need to seal with a good sealant. Sanding and polishing them removes the oem protection. They will start to yellow/haze without a good sealer.
