Takes about 2-3 hours
Supplies needed

Caliper paint
Brake cleaner
Steel brush
Masking tape

Step 1 loosen wheel nuts and jack the car up. Then remove the wheel
Step 2 spray the drum with brake cleaner then clean with steel brush
Step 3 put masking tape in parts you don't want to paint
Step 4 tape some newspaper behind the drum
Step 5 paint the drum with caliper paint. First and second coat should be thin and third coat medium. Wait at least 10 minutes between coats. Wait 3 hours before driving

Enjoy your painted drum brakes

I need to do this because mine are rusting badly. I'm debating whether silver would look good or if I should stay with black.

Black.... :joke:

But, that's from a choice of black or silver....... You didn't ask but I think match the colour of your car would look hot.

I did mine as well, went black since the car is black. But I used a wire brush and then dipped them in "metal recue" for about 2 hrs.

Well, did some searching and realize that painting them a colour is not for me. Going to stick with black. Here are a few examples I found if you're curious.

I even found my own wheels. Black definitely looks like the way to go.
Now, luster or mat paint?
