Ice Road Truckers - Season 6

so it says they'll be in alaska... so I take it this footage is from the previous winter?

I would imagine so.

Hopefully, if things continue to go well, I'll be hauling flatbed. :thumb:

Doesn't look like "porkchop" is going to make it. And that young kid complaining about Jack Jesse being "too careful" better watch himself, as that could come back and bite him in the a$$ later. :unamusedpopcorn:

Did you watch?

I started watching the beginning but didn't watch it all.

2fast: I give you props! I saw some dumb *** cut this tractor trailer off last week and he/she driving the tractor trailer did a HELL of a job avoiding hitting the dumb *** or anyone else!! Lots of smoke and tire screeching though.

Thanks! :) I didn't get to see last weeks due to being on the road myself-lol. This Sunday will air the new episode plus last weeks, so I won't miss it.

Ms. 2fast (Don't know your real name): Where do you travel? Like from where to where (I know it varies but like where you based out of?) **If it's too personal just say STFU Jeff lol **

My grandfather was a truck driver for Amtote International (company which specializes in totalisator equipment used to control parimutuel betting at horse racing , greyhound racing and jai-alai facilities.) - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/American_Totalisator and I went on the road with him a few times up to New York City (from Baltimore area). I was younger (maybe 14 or so when I went) and I was amazed at the spaces in NYC that he has to park in to unload the cargo! :omg:

lol no worries, Jeff. My name is Raquel although everyone here at swift knows me as "Rocky". I'm based out of the Menasha, WI terminal. I drive the Midwest dedicated account for Sears, Kmart, and Home depot. I've been out east to new York, south to Texas, and as far west as Wyoming.

That's cool you got to go with your grandfather out trucking. And you're not kidding when you mentioned how tricky sometimes the parking can be!

Well its good to put a real name to the screen name Raquel. I'm always wonder what everyone's real name is but I'd probably not remember them anyways lol but Raquel stands out so I can't forget that ;)

Yeah when would would go to New York he would be driving the 53' trucks too which was even more of a PITA...

My family (moms brother, his wife and my two cousins) live in South Dakota and I've been out there. I'm not a fan of winter so I wouldn't move out there or anywhere close lol

People don't even know how to drive in a few inches of snow here in Maryland. I'm sure they drive better out there since they are use to it more... of course you have the dumb asses tho lol and you drive around dumb asses all the time. I give you props!!

Well thank you very much. :)

I'm not a fan of winter either, but it's not too bad when driving in it. Just gotta worry about those dang 4 wheelers. ;)
