image.jpg image.jpg image.jpg Sup fellas, just wanted to share I will be sending off my door panels , arm rest, and the silver plastic peace around the shift boot to get redone in red bride and carbon fiber wrap and wanted to share what it will look like. Kinda iffy about sending it off to jersey as he does his work there but he is legit and has a built fg3 aswell. Anyways here are some pics.

Looks like he does nice work. I would inquire about the origin of the fabric/pricing. There is legit BRIDE fabric out there and inexpensive knockoff fabric easily available. I would hate to see you pay top dollar for the knockoff stuff and have it wear poorly or quickly. Especially on panels that may get touched and used a lot.

Yeah this will be my first time doing something like this. You bring up a good point and problem is he is located in New Jersey so I can't personally inspect the material.

I would be careful and do your research before you send your parts to him. Does he have his own business or is this some guy that does this work on weekends when he has some free time available?

The carbon work is a little different. That I bet he can probably do pretty nicely. Not to discourage you at all from the fabric. If the price is right go for it.

He's name is Marc Alas btw. He is also powdercoating wheels too. Young kid be careful.

Home powder coating isn't hard to get started on. Minimal equipment needed. Being good at it and getting a quality job is another story. I don't want to hate on him cause I don't know him or his business. I hope he is just really into cars and doing what he can to get his own shop/business up and running. Would be cool if he was another hardcore enthusiast. Let us know what you end up doing and what his pricing is.

He said $400 for everything.

I re wrapped the door panels on my FA5 with some ebay Recaro inserts and they turned out pretty well. I'd suggest taking a trip to your local fabric store and trying it yourself.

I really like the door panels, looks so good. I however have 0 experience with taking apart the doors, to even try it out

If you need help so you can do it on your own hmu I'll do the best to help you out. I do this stuff, I redid my interior on my 8th civic and have done some to my 9th as well. I'm here to help you out if you need guidance on how to install, etc..

Did you do the seat inserts?

I really like the door panels. I don't like the 2012 R18 sedan door panels at all.
Is there a DIY about how to remove the small section of the door panel so it can be recovered?
