I've been on the site for about two years now, just never started a build thread until now. This is my 2015 civic ex manual. As you may have guessed from the title, her name is Jun. I haven't really done much with her so far, but I'm always looking for the next thing. I'll try to update this in order of when I did the mods. Hope you guys enjoy it as much as I do. Thanks for checking me out!

Yeah, now I just got to get it updated, lol. I'll spend most of tomorrow getting that caught up. Should be fun, lol
 
I don't have any pics from when I first picked her up, but this was after I added the spyder fog light kit. In retrospect, I wish I would have just sprung for the factory kit, because the switch has gone to **** and right now they don't work...it's just a problem with the switch and it's connection. I'll be looking into a new switch in the coming months to get it back in top shape.

I bought her in July 2015 after my 06 lx was totaled out from hail damage. She's been a great car, she may not have si power, but it's got enough features to keep me happy. But I love to modify, so I'm always looking into the next thing I can start tinkering with.

Being that the r18 is in both the 8th and 9th gen civic, I was able to salvage my dc sports intake. The mounting location is different for the bracket so I just jerry rigged a mount that has worked out great.

I also got around to making the headlights clear corner, which I absolutely love how it makes the car look. It was a bit scary baking my headlight in the oven to get the adhesive to come apart, but after finding some answers from y'all on the forum and YouTube, I was ready to take the plunge! Totally worth it, just take your time and you too can accomplish this task with no problems.

After winning one of the 12 days of Christmas giveaways last year, I used the $50 off coupon at hardmotion.com's website to get a set of truhart 2" lowering springs. It's the first time I've dropped a car or messed with suspension, but this was a pretty easy job. I love the new look and feel of the drop and how it makes the car feel like it can corner much better. Now I just need to invest in the progress rsb to bring the handling to a good point for now. In time.....

This was one of the prizes in the 12 days of Christmas giveaways last year. A pedal set from strutking.com. I like the sporty look of these pedals. I did have to remove the stock rubber pedal covers and drill a few holes in the pedals to mount them properly. They have had no issues with coming loose and the rubber pads have never slipped out from under my foot. Some might doubt the quality upon initial inspection, but I gotta say, they have withstood the test of time so far.

I don't have any pics, but I also installed the aluminum shifter base bushings at this time. I could notice a small difference in how much play the factory shift assembly had after installing these bushings. They weren't difficult to install, but there were a few tough spots getting to without taking the whole center console aboard l apart. These were also from strutking.com.
 
March of this year I deployed to Europe (Poland, Lithuania, Latvia, and Germany) for about 9 months. So before I left I put Jun on jack stands, gave her some stabil, and got her parked in the garage to avoid foul weather. It was kinda sad leaving her here for that long. But I tried to stay as active as I could on the forum while I was gone.

The first mod I picked up upon returning to the states was this nrg carbon shift knob from @ron_v, another member here on the forum. He also threw in a shift extender and cool turbo sticker. Still working on that turbo one day ron, lol. He was super easy to work with on the sale and everything went smooth as glass. While the shift extender isn't really for me, it was worth trying out for a few days to see if I liked it. Felt like I was driving a semi truck, lol!

So I made some purchases on black Friday, nothing too crazy. Just some red "h" badges for the front, back, and steering wheel, the superill windshield banner, a super street hoodie and lanyard. I really love the super street/illest crossover superill banner. I'm looking to get more super street and illest gear and trying to find ways to integrate them into my build. I've been reading super street since about 2001, so they hold a pretty special place in my heart. They have definitely helped mold my passion for cars. Moving on...

And we come to my most recent conquest. The spc camber arms for the rear. I bought them on Amazon and paid a bit over $100 for both of them. It was a pretty straightforward install, remove the old, place on the new, adjust the bolts as good as I could and take out for an alignment after the holidays to get everything back to factory specs camber wise. I also ended up rotating the tires since I did the drop a few months before I left for Europe. The tires were wearing a lil bit on the inside which you should be able to see in the picture of the tire.

So this is my build so far...phew, that was a lot of updates for one day, lol. I always look forward to the next time I can share an update for a new part I get to put on Jun. Honestly, the only "performance" upgrades I plan on doing any time soon would be the tsudo exhaust and progress rsb, probably with whiteline or moog end links. I still can't decide if I want to go 22 or 24 mm. I also plan on wheels and tires when the tires go out, but I may put some of that on hold pending possible career change from the military back to the civilian world in about a year. Other than that, prolly just little aesthetic touches on the interior and exterior here and there.

whiteline tends to have a pretty big following in the subaru/wrx communities. I know a few people here recommend them and have used them. Foobird literally just put a set on his si this last weekend -

(Perspective from 2011 WRX) Whiteline sways are solid bars, some are not. Also I recommend the Whiteline endlinks, also heavy duty

Installed a set of Whiteline sway bar endlinks this morning to hopefully get rid of the clunking noises I was getting in the rear after lowering the Civic a couple of inches.

After taking it out for a quick test drive, it seems like most of the noises are now gone! :eekdancesmiley:

22 mm Progress + Whiteline adjustable end links.
 
Lol.

Yes, as @webby said, Whiteline end links and 22 mm Progress bar. Might be better to go Moog end links and adjustible sway bar.
