Kim Kardashian and Kris Humphries: over already?
TMZ.com reported this morning that the reality TV star and the NBA player will file for divorce today after 72 days of marriage. According to TMZ, Kardashian’s filing will cite “irreconcilable differences.” TMZ also said that Kardashian has retained the services of Hollywood attorney Laura Wasser, who brokered the divorces of Britney Spears, Mariah Carey and Angelina Jolie.
Kardashian’s publicist and Wasser did not immediately respond to ABCNews.com’s requests for comment. Humphries’ NBA rep declined to comment because of the lockout.
Ryan Seacrest, the executive producer of “Keeping Up with the Kardashians,” confirmed the news on Twitter, writing “Yes @kimkardashian is filing for divorce this morning. I touched base with her, getting a statement in just a few mins.”
Kardashian, 31, and Humphries, 26, married on August 20. Their wedding cost a reported $20 million and garnered a multi-episode television special on E!
Rumors about the couple’s marital problems have run rampant since they tied the knot. Last week, Kardashian told People magazine that their first days of marriage were “not ideal,” but her mom, Kris Jenner, claimed that the couple was working on their problems.
