A mystery knitter has left a huge Olympics-themed knitted work on the pier in Saltburn-by-the-Sea near Teesside.
The unknown artist or "Yarnbomber" installed the knitted figures overnight, much to the delight of local residents who are flocking to see the woollen sporting characters.
Although it is not known who has left the knitted piece, some of the figures look similar to the ones in the book Knitlympics by Carol Meldrum.
