My 16 year old had her first accident in our new 2014 EX! (I know...why am I letting a 16 y.o. drive a new car?? Long story...). Anyway, fortunately, the damage was very minor: three deep scratches in the passenger side mirror cover. I am looking for DIY info on how to replace the mirror or, even better, how to replace just the mirror "Skull Cap" (Item 2/8 in the attached). I can order the cap in the matching color (dyno blue, B561P) which, since its a molded piece, should be close enough and avoid any painting. My biggest concern/question is how to replace the cap without doing further damage to the mirror assembly?
I found this exploded view here: http://www.hondapartscheap.com/auto...rior-bumper/mirror-2/?trim=ex&engine=variable and lots of videos and instructions for past generations but haven't found anything for 9th gen. Thank you!
