Media moguls body discovered

By STAFF REPORTER

Published: Today

Rupert Murdoch, the controversial media mogul, has reportedly been found dead in his garden, police announce.

Murdoch, aged 80, has said to have ingested a large quantity of palladium before stumbling into his famous topiary garden late last night, passing out in the early hours of the morning.
"We found the chemicals sitting beside a kitchen table, recently cooked," one officer states. "From what we can gather, Murdoch melted and consumed large quantities of it before exiting into his garden."

Authorities would not comment on whether this was a planned suicide, though the general consensus among locals and unnamed sources is that this is the case.
One detective elaborates. "Officers on the scene report a broken glass, a box of vintage wine, and what seems to be a family album strewn across the floor, containing images from days gone by; some containing handpainted portraits of Murdoch in his early days, donning a top hat and monocle."
Another officer reveals that Murdoch was found slumped over a particularly large garden hedge fashioned into a galloping horse. "His favourite", a butler, Davidson, reports.
Butler Davidson has since been taken into custody for additional questioning.

Lulz Sec claims responsibility for Sun hack

LONDON — A group of internet hackers claims to have tampered with the website of Rupert Murdoch's Sun newspaper.

Visitors to 'The Sun' were redirected to this page after the newspaper was hacked.

Visitors to The Sun's website late Monday were redirected to a page featuring a story saying Murdoch's dead body had been found in his garden.
Lulz Security took responsibility via Twitter, calling it a successful part of "Murdoch Meltdown Monday."

Lulz Security has previously claimed hacks on major entertainment companies, FBI partner organizations and the CIA.

Murdoch is due to appear before a parliamentary committee Tuesday to answer lawmakers' questions over phone-hacking at News International, his British newspaper division.
The phone hacking scandal has prompted the closure of Murdoch's News of the World.

LulzSec hacks Rupert Murdoch-owned websites

‘Hacktivist’ group LulzSec, who have been behind some of the most infamous website attacks in recent months, have turned their attention to Rupert Murdoch.

Previously the group has claimed to be trying to improve internet security standards by breaking into websites and releasing the details of users, including usernames and passwords.

But today’s attacks appear to be more personal and venomous, with the group’s Twitter account saying “This is only the beginning. **** YOU MURDOCH. YOU ARE NEXT.” and “Arrest us. We dare you. We are the unstoppable hacking generation and you are a wasted old sack of ****, Murdoch. ROW ROW FIGHT THE POWER!”

The Sun’s website is currently unable to be accessed, but LulzSec have directed it to take users to their Twitter feed when it is accessible.

Before the site went down, they changed the site’s lead story to claim News International owner Rupert Murdoch was dead. The Sun is one of News International’s many publications, as is News of the World – which was shut down after details of phone hacking by its journalists came to light.

The group has also been tweeting the contact details of journalists working for The Sun.
