Mother Of All Whore Threads Non-VIP Edition v.1

Thank but what I didn't show was the top of the wheel by the air bag. I can't get the wrap to stay down so it looks like poop. If I could fix that issue I'd love it.

can you dab superglue on it to hold it down till it dries?

Now, this is where it gets sad.

I ended up finishing this work in mid-December and reinstalled the bumper onto the car.

Well, yesterday, I decided to tackle the Fuel Tank Pressure sensor replacement on my Civic. To do this, I jockeyed my cars around in the driveway, putting my Accord and my Pilot in the street, and left my Stealth at the end of my driveway as I didn't want to put it into the street (the streets are narrow). Anyhow, after the sensor replacement, as I was backing my Civic out of the garage, I heard a weird clicking noise that I didn't recall hearing before. I focused on trying to figure out what that was, wasn't paying attention as I backed out of my garage, until I heard the "crunch". I had just hit my Stealth, destroying the work that took the better part of a year to complete:

So, yeah, that's how my 2025 has been going thus far. Not sure what I'm going to do about it yet.
Well, I've finally decided on a solution to this little debacle.

Over the weekend, I managed to pick up a used '99 3000GT front bumper. For those unfamiliar with the 3/S platform, the 3000GTs ran 91-99 and had 3 main generations, even though they were nearly mechanically identical throughout (there were mechanical and feature changes over the generations, but they weren't necessarily huge), these were '91-93, 94-96, 97-99 but the '99 was still unique in it's styling making it one of the most desirable amongst enthusiasts. Conversely, the Stealths ran 91-96 and had 2 main generations (with the same mechanical updates, for the most part, as the 3000GTs), 91-93 and 94-96 ('96s did have some unique changes as well, particularly the spoiler and wheels making these generally desirable amongst enthusiasts). And, if you really want to nerd out over this stuff, these were called the GTO in Japan and ran from 90-01 with similar breaks in the years (the '99 3000GT version we got here actually ran from '99 to '01 for the GTOs so it is technically more available than we give it credit for, but not by much).

Anyhow, I've been planning to put the '99 3000GT front end onto my car for years; in fact, I have pretty much all of the parts, brand new (most still in original boxes) and have had them since 2006. Unfortunately, I've not gone forward with this, mostly due to money, as in order to do it properly, I'd want it done professionally. And, while I think I did a decent job repairing/painting my Stealth bumper, I definitely do not trust myself on painting my new OEM '99 bumper that is getting increasingly difficult to obtain.

Enter a local dude (about 90mins away) parting out a '99 base due to flood damage; we worked out a deal for the bumper, brackets, and some associated bits for a very reasonable price and I would do the work to remove it (part of the reason I got a good deal on it). So, Sunday, I went to his place and removed the goodies, and got home with my prize, a used '99 bumper that I wouldn't feel too terribly bad if it didn't look perfect, would update the look of my car as I want, and give me another chance to improve my body/paint skills (they do leave a lot to be desired).

This will update the look of the car

I'm still uncertain if I'm going to run the new '99 version headlights and corner/signal lights (these are unique to that year) I have or if I'll use my Stealth headlights and corner lights. The Stealth lights will fit the bumper with one small difference at the lower outer corner where the bumper, corner light, and fender all meet (if you look in the pics I've provided, you'll see the Stealth signal lights curve up at the lower rear edge; if I use these, that will leave a small gap on the '99 bumper as it doesn't have this curve; one option is to cut that bit from my Stealth bumper and glue it into place as a gap filler).

Anyhow, that's the plan, for now. We'll see how it comes along (when I actually get time to work on things).

Never mind, I can't read and responded to something with incorrect context.

He replied to another post that he thought was directed towards his earlier post. Just a mistake

Yeah, my bad. I couldn't figure out how to delete the post; so, I edited it instead. Ooops.

I actually like that bumper change

Thanks, most do, myself included. That's why it has been on my 'to-do' list for years.

So how's Trump? Are your groceries cheaper yet?? I see the price of eggs are more than ours as of today.
Nutty as ever…nothing cheaper so far. Tariffs on Canada and Mexico are supposed to start Feb 1st. Also trying to change constitutional rights. Cause you know….the party that is all about the constitution wants to change to constitution. Makes a whole lot of sense. Pardoned all the Jan 6th peeps….again, the party that is for the police let all the people that assaulted police go free of charge. He even previously said that those people that assaulted the police would be charged with a crime but he just let them all go.

I’m surprised he hasn’t gone golfing yet at his club. Maybe that will be on Friday…..

But on the eggs prices…they have been all over the place, the last year or so. I wonder what’s up with that.

dont forget CDC and FDA arent allowed to release data or alerts right now, as avian flu is a growing concern

National Institutes of Health are on a pause for pretty much everything, travel, grant reviews, basically anything beyond showing up to the office. So university research, training the next generation of engineers, researchers, physicians is suddenly uncertain

I have a friend that will fight till the end of time that Trump can do no wrong. He's very stubborn.

It's nice to see actual American opinions on here.
