Hello,

My name is Josh and I am picking up my 2012 Si sedan later this week. Got tired of the high gas prices and driving a 4x4 truck around, I was averaging 14 mpg in my Chevrolet, lol. I chose the Civic Si sedan because I needed a reliable, fun to drive car that would be cheap to own and also be practical (4 doors). I have had 3 other Civic Si models in the past, an 89 CRX Si (first car) a 91 Si hatch and a 92 Si. I loved all of them and miss my 89 CRX all the time.

This looks like a good place to get info on the car and get ideas for mods. I already know I will be lowering the car with some coilovers pretty soon. Though I only want to go about 1" lower for drive-ability reasons. I don't plan on any intake or exhaust mods though because I don't like the attention those things fetch with the 5-0. I'm hoping this car will be just as reliable as all my other Honda cars and motorcycles. :thumb:

Welcome to 9th.. & nice intro. As redsfan said you could probably just go with lowering springs if you just want to be lowered an inch. Or, the hfp suspension setup may be a fitting choice.

^^ Blue! Though I just found out I might not get the car until next week. The closest dealer to me with one is a few hours away. I might go with just Koni's and springs, but last time I did springs alone on a car it rode like garbage.

Blue FTW :)

And what springs did you go with on the last car?

My last Si had Tein basic dampers. My first Si had just Eibach springs at first, but then I bought Koni struts to go along with them. With the stock length struts the car bounced like crazy. When I made a huge mistake and bought a VW VR6 Jetta (such a POS, never again VW...) I had KW coilovers on it, and those were very nice.

BC COILOVERS? MAYBE? i get 20 MPG on my si. only cause am always 75mph + but a very fun car to drive.

Welcome man... I would do HFP or what I am using Tocino blues and HFP springs for a comfy ride
