No Reverse Lockout?

so I've noticed that almost every 6-spd manual car has a reverse lockout (S2000, RX8, STI, etc..)

is there a reason we don't have one? or do we?

always frightens me a bit going from 5th to 6th

I love these things....... We are looking at it from standing outside the left door looking across the seat, and what we see is an arrow pointing left, if we were to face left then the arrow would actually be pointing forward. So they thought it might be easier to show a side shot than a overhead shot with the top being forward. ..........WRONG......... And the reverse left a move out entirely.
