What is a safe/normal oil pressure for the engine to have at idle? My gauge reads 28-30 psi at idle....too low or too high? Normal? Just curious

Ranges from 90-100 PSI, might be more but my gauge tops at 100 PSI

Alright, I had my gauge disconnected for a couple days and reconnected it today and it was way down at 28 psi so i thought i'd figure out if it was normal

Curiosity is the first step to hell:wink1:

Is that your pressure when the car is fully warmed up? I havent run a gauge on my 9th but I know as a general rule of thumb you want at least 10psi per 1k rpm when the oil is up to normal operating temp.

Yea, fully warmed up...on initial startup its at 100 psi and slowly drops

Most likely, I've got my oil pressure input from the stock oil pressure sensor so i know its accurate..if I'm in a rush i'll usually start driving at around 80 psi but i like to wait till it's fully warmed up
