The video is already the most viewed video ever on YouTube and was the first clip ever to surpass 1 billion views -- it currently stands at 1.7B and is still growing for those counting. But impact of the biggest web video phenomenon of 2012 extends beyond PSY's singular music video.

Whoops, I did mean views. I didn't know why I put a dollar sign. Lol. But Youtube does pay $3000 per 1mil views on a video. So Psy made $5.1mil on that vid alone.
