Warranty will not cover that. Don't follow so close. In the rain / slush, make it a point to stay back as far as you can as the tires are throwing up a lot of spray that is dirty, and has small particles of rock in it. One of my ex G/F's did more damage to the paint, headlights, windshield, bumper cover and signal lights in 50,000 kms than the vehicle had sustained in 200,000 kms. Of course, when I told her that it would cost $ 2500 to repair, she wasn't happy. New headlight housings aren't cheap, neither is a windshield and the urethane to install it, let alone refinishing the bumper cover and hood.

Warranty? Most likely not a chance. But..... Do you have chips or scratches? Chips are like little dots missing. Pic if you can? If the scratches arent bad they can be corrected by a good detailer, or yourself if you have time.

A really good coating like opti-seal will definitely help or a very durable sealant/wax combo.

You could also get a clear bra installed over the first few inches of the hood.

Poke your head into the ask a detailer thread and see what Rasky recommends.

Moved thread to the detailing area. As the others have mentioned, this isn't a warranty issue. The only way paint is covered under warranty would be peeling or defects. Not paint issues caused by rocks etc.

no need to be sorry - I was just letting you know where I moved it in case you looked for it later.

Well it depends on the condition of the scratches, if they are deep to the body then you need to do the paint at the effected place but if they are on the paint and very less deep then you can use some scratch remover.... but after removing the them you need to polish the car.. Thanks for sharing...
