@AE86RX2 which hole (setting) did you use on the RSB when you installed it?With a week with the 24mm rear sway bars ando tires. I will say this is the way the Si should have came from the factory. I love how responsive it is. I have yet been able to break the rear out. The understeer is all but gone. With these pilot super sport tires completely change the feel this FB6.
So what you're saying @Nix is that the RSB can be installed with the car on jack stands but it's easier to reattach the end links with the car on ramps? I'm curious because I've heard that the RSB should be installed under load but I guess that must be referring to the end links because that's what puts the bar under load. The bar itself just "hinges" off of the mounting point with the two bushings.Do it. Buy it. Its great. Also, its easiest to install with the car on ramps instead of jackstands since it supports the wheel and lower control arm. Much easier to get the end link in place. The bar does not need to be installed under load or "preloaded" or any of that.
@BenGunn I'm curious to know why you wouldn't think about the 24mm RSB instead of the 22mm? The '13 Si comes with a 21mm so you're only jumping up 1mm.I am (was) going to pick up one of these, but the 62.1009 product description on the Progress website says "Excludes SI Sedan". Is this right? If so, which one should I be looking at instead?
Thanks in advance.
I'd go 24mm if you're in an Si and can afford it. Also as nix said it's a pretty easy install. I had an lx and I went with the 22mm and it was night and day one of my favorite mods on that car.@BenGunn I'm curious to know why you wouldn't think about the 24mm RSB instead of the 22mm? I know from past experience that once you've made some type of improvement to your car and you get used to that being the norm, you are going to want more. So I would go straight to the biggest bar you can get if you are going to go through the motions of replacing the RSB. The only other thing to consider is that the 24mm bar is more expensive than the 22mm bar but if you want to jump up to the bigger bar after the 22mm it's going to cost you less in the long run.
That's just my opinion of course.
I agree. That's why I went with the 24mm.The stiffest setting. Go with the 24mm you will not regret it. Yes it's more expensive but worth the wait.
