The rusty on the drum brake is nasty. I am thinking about getting new drum brake and painting them.
Is there a way to permanently stop the drum brake from getting rust? Can Powder-coating Drum Brakes stop it at all? Alternatively, is it a good idea to painting with caliper paint? But I gotta do this like every year...
Thanks,

You don't need to worry about that with rear drums.
Thanks.
I am thinking about getting new drum brake from college hill and powder-coating them.
Where can I get the powder-coating done? local mechanics or special shop.
I live in NYC. Any shop recommended?
Thanks again.

There is no need to get new ones. Your current ones can be prepped. You should be able to find a ton of local powdercoat/paint shops willing to do it if you are in NYC.

How long is it usually the powder-coated done?
Reason is that I will then have to remove the existing one first then wait to get it done before I can use my car....

A few days tops.

You have something against the public transportation available in NYC?
