Don't trust your hydraulic lift, nor jack stands, especially cheap ones that can crumple if the car rocks.
As added safety, place the removed tire/s under the car. This way, if for some reason something goes wrong and the car falls, the tire will save the car from crashing into the floor and causing extensive damage and maybe even save your life if your under the car at the time.
