Seven-year-old boy involved in police car chase
A seven-year-old boy from Michigan, barefoot and in pyjamas, drove a car for 20 miles at high speeds before finally being stopped by police.
It is believed that the boy, who had been staying at his mother's, took the car for a drive after deciding he wanted to go to his father's house.
Officers began looking for a red Pontiac Sunfire on Monday morning, after a member of the public called the police about seeing a young driver behind the wheel.
The boy's mother was unaware her son and car were missing as she was working a night shift.
Chief of Caseville Police Jamie Learman said he feared the boy would crash as the car veered to the right on a rural road and fishtailed.
Learman eventually sped ahead and tried to box-in the Sunfire with the help of a Huron County sheriff's deputy who was behind in another vehicle.
The boy was eventually pulled over by the police and no one was hurt in the incident.
