taking the grocery store to your home

I've been to a Tesco store in England :D
That's a great idea they've got there...very impressed

Cool....I def would do that. Hate waiting in lines when there are 15 cashier stations but only 3 open and self checkout is closed.

I wonder how their pricing compares to standard stores, especially since they're delivering to your door. Obviously this saves against the expense of driving yourself to/from the store.

Regular grocery stores also have notoriously low margins on their sales - I think maybe 1 or 2%. I wonder what their margins are.

absolutely. Get a place to deliver stuff, and setup the website/ordering. I remember seeing a thing that there were a growing number of places around the NYC area doing a lot of grocery deliveries

Harry Teetter here does online ordering. Place your order online....pull up to a special spot....type in something at the key pad on the special spot.....grocery dude comes out with your order.

I've seen several chains doing this. It's a great resource for people who can't carry much or can't get out (or just simply don't want to )
