(EndPlay Staff Reports) - You've heard of random acts of kindness where you do something nice for someone "just because," but how about participating in Random Acts of Pizza and making someone's day?

ABC News reported that the website, Random Acts of Pizza , was created when one of its founders, Daniel Rogers, was unemployed and came up with the idea.

Rogers said that it was a time where he felt disconnected and depressed.

Random Acts of Pizza can be viewed on Reddit.com , a community news site that also posts other charitable organizations.

People who are in need, share their story or situation on the site for others to read to determine if they want to send a pizza to them.

Reddit does have rules and suggestions to keep the "system" moving smoothly:
  • Requestors are asked to only accept one offer at a time.
  • If "proof" of your situation is requested, you are asked to give it.
  • Check back on your post often since it is a global offering.
  • Givers are encouraged to use a gift card to those who don't live in their area.
  • To post a request, people are asked to detail their situation and then post to the site with the word "request" in brackets.
  • Those who want to make an offer are asked to detail their proposal and post it with the word "offer" in brackets.
An example of a specific offer on the site was to college students who were working in a certain area over the summer.

Rogers knows that giving a pizza may not seem like a big deal to some, but he told ABC News, "It says someone's got my back, someone's looking out for me."
