Coming home today, My Service VSA Light came on...Then, Service Power Steering...Car is driving fine...I get out to go into the house...I only had one Tail Light, NO Brake Lights and the Light Bar in my Spoiler is not working...Anyone one have any ideas about this?...I pulled fuses (I believe I checked all the right ones) and unhooked battery...Nothing changed...I think I will have it towed Sunday night...I have had so many pain in the *** problems with this car...It will be my first and last Honda...It would not be so bad if the Honda dealership wasn't 150km away...

You need a battery or alternator or both. When the battery voltage is low, the VSA, EPS and about 300 other lights come one.

I am on my second battery lol...Replaced by warranty...The car starts strong...I believe everything else is working...There were a few other lights came on but went off...The lights came on while I was driving...I think that is all the info I can provide...The tail lights etc also something that would be cause by a bad battery and or alternator?...Thanks for the reply...Glad I bought the extended warranty until 200,000

IIRC.... I've read on here that the Si's have been having alternator issues that "Cause" the batteries to die/act-up..... I'd look in that direction.

I just went out and I see my POS connection on the battery is "stripped"...It will not tighten up, and I can pull it off easily by hand...Would a bad connection cause this (warning lights AND tail lights not to function correctly?)
It looks like I need a new POS clamp for the terminal...If I replaced that, I guess I would still have to take it into the dealer to get the codes cleared and or my tail lights working wouldn't I?

That would do it, I've also read that a few other ppl on here have had trouble with their + terminals becoming loose... I think they're made out of monkey-meat.

It looks like I can just replace the clamp right?

Had this issue. Loosen the screw all the way and re-tighten it.

Yeah. I did that. The 2 pieces tighten up fully where the bolt goes through. But the clamp around the terminal stays loose. I'll try it again in the am though...

I had this issue too, the clamp came loose. I took a pair of channel locks (pliers would work too) and pushed the clamp together (while off of the battery) so that it become just slightly narrow and fit tight on the terminal again.

Thanks! I'll give that a try tomorrow as well...

Another note to check - 1st and 2nd post in this thread
http://9thcivic.com/forum/threads/battery-recall.9975/
There is a recall for the charging system. As far as I know it was for the charging system not working when it was cold outside but there may be more to it then that.
The fix is a software upgrade believe it or not.
I had to have my battery replaced as well because it was too beat up from not being charged up properly.

So we tried pushing the clamp together with pliers...Did not work...Tried backing off the bolt and re tightening...Did not work...We had to use a small piece of sheet metal and wrap it around the terminal just so the clamp would not works its way up the terminal and loosen...Its tight now, temp until I go to the dealer...I went for a drive after pulling the "main fuses" and individual fuses once again...Lights are still on the dash and my rear lights on the car still are not working...Also I noticed my USB phone charger does not work either...It actually drains my phone instead of charging it

So I dropped the civic off at the dealership. In the end. They would not cover the battery positive therminal clamp. Because I tampered with it. Despite what I told them happened. They blamed an accessory I have in my fuse box which draws 1 amp. On a 3 amp fuse. Which is connected to my accessory fuse. Through an add a circuit. And they called it "various accessories improperly wired into under dash fuse box". And they even charged me to check my USB charger in center console. As they said it must have been related. They stated it is now working. But guess what. It isn't.

Oh. And it was a $117 dollar visit. And they didn't even reinstall the trunk liner.

Here are my "various aftermarket accessories improperly installed" that blackened my tail light bulbs. Blew fuses not even related etc. And put the dash lights on.
