so my great uncle is selling his car (2010 pontiac g3 that is in PERFECT shape and has maybe 9k on it) hes probably selling it back to the dealer. but knowing a dealer their gonna low ball him by far. my dad had me kbb the car and on trade its 8.5k and to sell privately its just over 10k. my dad said depending on what they offer at the dealer he will buy it and split the profit with my uncle. now this is where i come in. my girl is KINDA in the market for a new car AND needs one for her driving test (shes 20 and its a long story, im not dating a 16 year old) she has a 98 blazer in need of a lot of work and her parents use it all the time with no regard for the car. granted its out of her price range and not her style car but i kinda want her to try to get it because its pretty much new and its reliable... so what should i do?

like you're wondering if you should buy it for her? I'm not sure what the question is

well like see if we could work something out for her to get it.

what downside is there to her getting it... a larger loan? If you know it's a good car... that's worth a lot on its own.

she cant afford it lol but my dad did say something about keeping it i dono what for and if he does id see if we could get it to her

I think you should definitely try at least. If you think it's a good opportunity, go for it.

Are you talking about giving your girlfriend a car, or helping her financially? You say she cannot afford it, which is why I'm asking this. Also you say it's not her style?

If that's your plan, then I would say it is a bad idea. Can you afford to do this for her?

I know you want to be helpful and supportive, but I think this is going too far.

If her parents don't have regard for her beater car but mooch it all the time, what do you think they may do if she shows up in a shiny G3 with low miles on it that you and your family have largely provided? That would stop me dead in my tracks. But you should be commended for trying to think of ways to provide for your girl.

Have you ever watched day time court on TV ? Let her get her own car, and let her pay for it, if she needs advise, that's free.
