What things did you do when you were younger that you thought your parents would never figure out

When I was a teenager I used to stay up really late talking to people on IRC. I was supposed to turn my computer off at midnight. My parents used to have the router downstairs in the kitchen and if my Dad got up in the middle of the night and saw the lights flashing...well...he knew I was online surfing. He'd unplug the router and go to bed. This of course was horrible for me. I very quickly figured out that the neighbor's wireless internet wasn't secured so I'd just use theirs.

This went on for MONTHS until they found out one day and took my computer away for a week. CRISIS. :rotfl:

Share your stories :D

My brother and I would stay up late playing Sega and would usually get into a fight due to our competitiveness. We could hear our parents coming up the stairs so would turn off the TV, throw a shirt over the red light on the Sega, then jump into our beds. They never knew what was going on. A few years back we were telling them about this and they always thought the noises they heard upstairs could have been ghosts b/c we always appeared to be sound asleep. :shhhh: :escaper: :rotfl:

It was probably a similar reaction to being addicted to a drug you couldn't have :rotfl:

I was a boring child. No really, I was. I wanted to be a nun until puberty. Then I was too distrusting of boys to toy with any and catholic guilt kicked in saving me from bad decisions. Although I would watch the R rated movies on the scrambled channels. Never drank. Never smoked. Didn't sleep with boys. All I did was talk back. No wonder I'm still not ready to settle down as an adult. I've been having too much fun as one.

Damn Christina.. You had some strict parents! Mine weren't really strict per say.. just sheltered me.. :/

Jeff is still sheltered. He's just so damn resistant to change.

I remember when I was younger (middle school.. possibly 5th-7th grades) when it would be the start of the school year (where it's still light outside til like 8pm or so) and I would be in bed!! WTF CRAZY!! Bed Time around 8pm or before?! COME ON NOW!!

Ummmm....

I smoked cigs, drank, smoked pot, used to sneak out and spend some "quality" time with my gf back then and a few other things that I can't remember.... My parents had no idea till a few years ago, when my mom did the whole I know you better than you know yourself speech and I asked her 3 questions and she failed all 3 and then I ran for the car and hauled *** outta there before she could kill me....lol

In middle school we had "open lunch" which meant we could travel throughout a 2-3 block radius and eat at local restaurants for lunch b/c we didn't have a cafeteria, just a small building next to the school that had a la carte, so we all ate out. Anyways, a couple of my friends talked me into skipping school after lunch, so we picked up snacks at the local grocery store and headed off to the baseball fields by the high school to hangout til it was time to go home. Well of course we were the only ones who didn't come back after lunch so the school called our parents. When the buses showed up we thought we were home free but when I was 30 feet away from the bus my parents pulled up FAST, threw the door open, and my dad yelled get your @ss in the car. To top it off the principal was in their car and I had to sit next to him as we rode back to the middle school. He threatened to paddle me but he didn't do it, however, I did get a week of in school suspension and after school detention.

Last little note: our first day of after school detention, my friend moved the clock up an hour and the principal thought his wrist watch was wrong and actually let us leave early. :giggle:

I've never smoked a cig, never smoked pot, never drank before I was 21 (and rarely do it now)..

Not that I really care if I did or didn't do all that stuff.
