When you're not satisfied with the stock R8, enter the folks at Heffner Performance, who decieded to stick two massive Garrett turbochargers into the R8's rear-end.

The result? A terror that runs from zero to Ludicrous Speed faster than Spaceball One.

Their V10 R8 model

Induction Type: Heffner Performance Twin Turbo. Twin Garrett GT35R's @ 6 psi
Horsepower: 725 wheel horsepower. An increase of 225 wheel horsepower from stock.

Limited Warranty: 12 months / 12,000 miles parts and labor on the induction system.
Availability: Installation available through an authorized Heffner Performance dealer near you.

To date we would have to say that this is the most refined aftermarket twin turbo car that we have experienced. Power delivery is very smooth and linear and the whisper of the spooling turbos makes the hair stand up on the back of your neck. Exhaust noise levels can be adjusted to the customers preference based on muffler size.

A well equipped V10 is probably around $160,000. It's already a beautiful vehicle, and faster than everything else on the street. I don't get why anyone would be compelled to do this.

base is $150k, so that sound probably about right. You'd be compelled because you want to be substantially faster... or for kicks?
