Wheel lug nuts

I noticed that my stock lug nuts are getting a little rough looking so I'm thinking of replacing them.
I'm wondering which brand I should look at and which brand I should steer away from
I read in some other threads about the taper adapter as well so that's something I need to keep in mind although I'd rather just go with a lug nut that fits my stock wheels without having to use the adapter.

Check the pricing on accord vs civic OEM lugs and years. I bought a few and found that a single EX civic lug was like $12 at the local dealer and the same lug but for an accord was $4.50. Same threads and ball seat needed for any OEM honda wheel as long as you get the lugs for a car that came with factory alloys. Generally any EX or higher trim level. I did find that the accord lugs were longer than the civic lugs and it made it a lot easier to get a wrench on them if you don't have a deep socket. Just something to consider. Looks wise you can't tell even with the short/long next to each other. Its just enough difference to make it easier threading them on/wrenching but not enough to really be a visual difference. Ill try and take a pic later.

Oh, I would stick with OEM lugs. Nothing I've gotten aftermarket has held up well. There isn't much out there with ball seat lugs either.

I was hoping to find something to "dress" up the wheels a little that's decent quality but not crazy expensive. After all, they are just stock wheels.
I only run the stock wheels in the summer months.

If you want black ball seat lugs, I believe the 2008 S2000 CR came with black OEM lugs....

The NSX had black lugs also but the NSX lugs are nearly twice as much as the S2000 lugs.


Hardtopguy is an S2k vendor and he has the black lugs on his site.

$5.50 each though!

I bought a set of s2k with locks from CHH for around $40. I don't remember the link but CHH should be abut to point you in that direction if your looking for those. It's been 3 years and they're finally showing wear.
