I was told that Tein coilovers have a coating on the treads that will protect them from corroding.

Marine grease and shock condoms if you live in the salt belt.

I've heard some nightmare stories of people trying to move the collars on their coilovers after they have seized up on the body of the coilover.

If I lived up there I'd have a winter suspension setup and a rest-of-the-year setup just to avoid problems. Theres only so much you can do with the salt..
