I was getting rid of fish and I have. My gf found a fish that she has been looking for and I went with her to pick it up. The guy we got it from had a bunch of nice large fish that he wanted to unload for free so I took one. The sad part is the new fish she got was the biggest one she has so she stuck it her 125 with the heavy hitters and it got beat up really bad. She had to call me at work and tell me about it. It is touch and go with the new fish she got. We have it quarantined in a 55 gallon right now, fingers crossed.

Going to the LFS to pick up a baby bristlenose pleco. They're about 1 1/2-2" long.
Not sure if I want an albino or a regular. We've always had regulars. Knowing me I'll probably come home with the smallest one in the bunch, whatever it may be.
Thinking of names. Stayed tuned to find out which one I bring home LOL

Very easy to tell males from females in the bristol nose family. The males will have a beard/mowhawk and the females will have a 5 o'clock shadow. The albinos are the same but seem to grow the beards slower. the Albino males will have a redish pink spot on the head. Breeding these plecos is fairly simple , 2 males to one female (breeding trio). Don't forget the algae wafers and a piece of driftwood. Plecos will snack on the wood if no algae is available.

I actually got it the ratio wrong ablove. 2 males one female is a reverse trio (harder) and a breeding trio is 1 male 2 females.
