I hate when after you get your degree, you CAN'T seem to land a job in your degree field,

Got my bachelor's in Criminal Justice. Used my GI bill, it covered most of it but not all. I've applied at police departments, law offices as a legal assistant, pretty much anything related to my field. And everytime "Req. 3+ yrs experience" or i dont get selected at the PD's. Got a clean record too.

Corrections Officer? Dispatcher? That is how a lot of people I know got into PDs.

It would be crappy hours and crappy pay for a few years. Kinda defeats the purpose of getting a degree in Criminology. Have you taken any tests in relation to applications yet. They do tend to not hire people that are too intelligent. Article is old, but still stands.
