It's water based paint which is much less durable than oil paint.....all car companies are using this type of paint now in an environment helping effort. I think this paint is law for North America.

F@#$% the Law, this paint SUCKS!
We have tons of chips on our car too, I sent in a complaint to honda last year after we bought the car. 15k miles but the car looks like its got 90k on it.
