Reverse gear whine?

I believe the reverse gears are straight cut versus a helical cut typically used on the forward gears. Straight cut gears are simpler/cheaper to produce, but louder. Not a problem since reverse is used less frequently, and at low speed.

Mine does the same thing, even my 02 rsx type s did the same thing in reverse. Must be a Honda thing.

Definitely is, have a 92 Integra in the family and it has the same whine my '13 Si does.
