I just figured out that Dar-Dar 's is a Volvo handle, and that's why it doesn't fold like the Civics' ........ Hence where it goes......... Knowing how it hooks up now, I'd probably not pull to hard on it if I did use it.

If you pull the plate that covers the tabs, it is actually a tab itself. The inside tab is grooved and fits onto another plastic tab. The cover goes in between the tab to keep it in place. Pretty strong but I doubt you could do a pull up on it.

For me it would probably be in the way, as I have to tweak my head to get in/out as it is now. But I haven't seen how it looks after mounting.

after watching this review, i also want to measure mine and check to see if they are screwed or tabbed.
