Just had another very fresh, SN Hoptimum. I must say, this beer is delicious. It's pretty damn close to being as good as Hopslam with no where near the hype.

The more I think about it, the more I think I underrate SN. The quantity of quality beer they put out is staggering. How they keep production so high and NEVER compromise quality is completely beyond me. It's incredible that a pale ale available in tens (or hundreds) of thousands of retail outlets through out the US can taste almost exactly the same.

While I may not put anything they make in my top 10-15 beers, I gotta give respect where it's due. VERY few craft breweries have been able to do what they've been able to do.

Pretty much everything they make is great.

Have you ever tried their Kellerweis, Celebration, or the Northern Hemisphere Harvest?

I'd solidly place Celebration in my top 10.

Kellerweis is probably my favorite beer from them. I love hefes. Celebration is also very good. I've never had their harvest though. I hope to try it this fall.

Just hit up that wine store. Terrible selection. I can go to my local Kroger and get a better selection than that. Disappointing...

:giggle: That's pretty cool. Has anyone seen that frozen beer foam gimmick some baseball team was trying? I wanna say maybe it was the Dodgers.

Off to scavenge Krogers. It's a damn shame that is my best option in Morgantown...

Decided to go with an old favorite... And the harvest collection :pat:

I feel guilty getting it this early... But there really wasn't anything else I wanted. I've had enough Chimay and hoptimum as of late.

My fridge... :rotfl:

The Octoberfest is one of my favorites.

Just peel the labels off and no one will know you're drinking fall beer.

It's not only that, it's just that these beers really aren't weather appropriate. A good Octoberfest or pumpkin ale is best enjoyed on a cool autumn evening. Not so much for the hot days of summer. I'll probably just enjoy these and hold off on any more fall beers until late August/September.

Football season + fall beer >>>>

It's A Fast Pig!
I got started way too early yesterday and ended up having definitely too many by the end of the night...

I almost bought a 12 of heineken but I got the Great Lakes Sampler instead. Not my favorite beers but they are decent and they always get the job done. Since it was my day off and my only plans were to clean the entire house, mop all the floors, scrub the bathroom, including the toilet and tub, vacuum, massive laundry loads, and so on.... I decided I would do my usual of drinking while I worked...

The sampler is gone and I am still hungover....

Great Lakes Dortmunder Gold, Great Lakes Burning River Pale Ale, Great Lakes Edmund Fitzgerald Porter and Great Lakes Eliot Ness

I like the way you think :giggle:

I haven't seen much from Great Lakes around here lately which is strange, because there's usually a decent selection of them.

Everything I picked up Saturday.

2 Cali-Belgium Stone IPAs. Delicious. I had this beer once before, and haven't been able to find it for a while. Finally saw it and picked up the last two bottles.

That Honey of a Saison was $3.99 for the bottle. So I bought it. 11.5 abv. It was a well done beer, just not my taste at all. Very sweet.

A good ole bottle of Chimay White.

And the blurry pic, a sixer of Stone Pale Ale (which I've been looking for, for a while now. I surprisingly have never seen it) and a 4 pack of West Coast IPA from Green Flash. I must say I was disappointed with it. I typically like Green Flash beers but there was something about it I wasn't a fan of.

And the B-craft Black IPA was very good as well. I think it was the first beer I've ever had from Arcadia. I had it and a forgettable East End hefe on draft at Bocktown Beer and Grill.
