I was ~3 secs behind Testify with his heavily chunked OEM Dunlops. I think I was giving all that the tires could give by being smooth; tires just couldn't do more.

They weren't chinking, rather they were scalloping really badly. Same thing happened to the last couple sets of Star Specs on the Si. I could dial it back a bit and save the tires from ending up like that, but I'd have to give up like a half a second per run, and I just can't do that. If there is time to pick up out there, I'm going to do whatever it takes to pick it up, even if it means destroying the tires. I just can't help it, once I'm in the middle of the run, I'm in a zone and the last thing I'm thinking about is the tires.

I have finally parted my car out, I have only a few things left then its time to move on..problem I am having Is I have no idea what I want lol. I was talking to testify about the 2011 WRX thats up there, but I now am starting to look into the Genesis 3.8 I really like the interior, and exterior, and getting it into 300hp range isnt too bad with RWD. I also am looking at a 07-08 BMW 335i with the TT..so its a tough call, really just anything in the 27k or less range.

There's a guy on digitalcorvettes.com that runs his vette in the winter. He sets it up with snow tires, and chains.
