Likes: Great a/c, the dash is cool, that imid can put your own picture and the usb/flash drive for music. The optional led ambient lighting is cool too. Love the body style and esp the color. Nice pep vs mpg tradeoff, which is why I got this rather than an si.Trans shifts nice and easy clutch is welcome in traffic.

Dislikes: Main one is road/tire noise and I'm thinking now it's just the stock conti tires are crap tires. Tire rack reviews mostly say these are really noisy tires even on a benz. I don't recall the tire noise being this noticeable when the car was new. Might start a new thread to see if people that have changed from the stock tires notice a change in noise levels. Can't think of any other dislikes so far worth mentioning.

Likes: handling and power + RWD, fairly easy to get parts for this old of a car + LOTS of hypo parts and knowledge out there for these, no emissions testing :P I6 sounds so nice. Love the attention it gets and people wanting to talk/check out under the hood etc. Fairly bullet proof design.

Dislikes: Crappy a/c, exhaust fumes with windows down (design flaw), MPG not great, LOTS of wind/road/engine noise. It's fun, but on a long trip it wears me out. Probably will own this one till I die :)

Coming from a straight-stick Jeep wrangler for 18 years, no air / 2 speed wiper / leaf springs / crank windows / no cruise control / 16 mpg(4 banger).
Now with my silver 2012 Civic Coupe:
I like: all the automated stuff, found a setting on the sound system where it will self adjust the sound level with the speed of the car(Cool), that I can wash/wax it without the cloth snagging on stuff, Love the dash lay-out, the way the seat holds me still going around the S's, the location of all the buttons on the Steering wheel, actually like the hard interior(as long as the elbow rest is soft), the leg room driving(straight out would be better, but haven't seen any that do that other than my '68 TR Spitfire.
Don't like: Can't see the hood while driving(mostly in parking situations) but time will take care of that, I'd also don't like the ambient air and milage light being that dim(but I'm getting to just watch the miles left to go instead).

Forgot, it's an EX.
Also think that different tyres would be quieter as well, but these don't really bother me, since I've been driving with the window down in the Jeep.

I like just about every detail about my new Si. What I dislike is not knowing what the real story is on the rev hang issue. Was it really designed that way or not? Also not sure what to do about the feeling of the car not knowing what it wants to do with acceleration going down hills. Seems to jerk here and there. Other than those two items I absolutely love my car!

I would have to guess it was designed like this for emissions reasons, to a point. Cars have had some sort of throttle controller/opener/"dashpot" system back to the days of carburetors to try to limit the decel emissions. Extremely high manifold vacuum can cause problems not only with emissions but can cause sucking oil past the valve stem seals etc. Below are some early patents.

http://www.sumobrain.com/patents/jp/Throttle-opener-vehicle-engine/JP55148946.html

Now even back then they would leave the factory calibrated wrong and cause "rev hang", but those were mechanical and easily adjusted. I suspect the issue we see today is the same some sort of product variation tolerance where some models have more rev hang than others. On these more modern cars, the only "adjustment" is via software. Or at least I assume that's the only adjustment, I would guess that the tolerance on the adjustment of the electric motor/throttle blade angle is what causes this.

I have read that it is because of emissions and extending the life of the catalytic converter. Still feels a bit wrong, or at least a bit

Dislikes: Rev hang and the navi screen that always gets smudges, i know hard not to. Seat could have been a bit lower. I have to take out the back head rest in order to properly fit a child seat, back of the seat does not align properly due to the head rest.
Likes: First of all it puts a smile on my face every time i drive it besides that responsiveness, engine sound, muffler sound, the raw feel of the car (noise and stiffer suspensions) though more of it will make it even nicer, nice bucket seats. Hopefully not to be proven wrong on reliability.

I like how it handles. I don't like road the vibration or road noise sometimes. Contemplating dynamat or something along those lines

2012 si coupe black just bought..

Likes: no rev hang, potential, display over 8th gen, torque, love the style over 8th, shifting over 8th, interior not as cheap as 8th. Sound system is very good clean and crisp highs. There are more for another thread to compare 8th and 9th gen.

Dislikes: headlights upgrade to hids Honda they are crap. trunk is heavy!, navi is still pointless upgrade, 08 seats were snug on tight turns not so much now. Miss the high rev even if it is only 1000k.

I love the 9th gen happy with my trade which I worried about.

Dislike Reverse is super loud, ceiling is lower then use to (I am only 5'10"), center console does not fit my full size .45 in it, coin tray is useless (even for cigs), slight Rev hang, the slope on the coupe causes water to fall right on power window controls if any moisture is on top of the vehicle, Lack of after market for coupes vs sedans, cleaning between windows and dash is soooo tight :giggle:, always causes a smudge, noise comes through cabin from the outside a little too much with all windows closed, and the body roll on turns is way too much.

Like its pull in :vtec:, Its a Honda, Black on Black , digital speedometer, imid, the locking floor mats (previous cars alwasy got bunched up), decent mpg, and a decent stock stance.

Like: The body style, decent gas mileage, when v-tec cracks, very fun to drive, pretty fast!
Dislike: Premium gas -___- $4.50+, non electric seat adjuster, the noise it makes when it reverses.
Overall awesome car that I love more and more each day!

Like: Gas mileage is pretty good for a peppy car, nice acceleration for in town driving, the interface technology, and it fits very nicely in my garage!
Dislike: Noisy when backing up (everyone I think has said this one), no comfortable arm rest position, my kids want to borrow it all of the time...

I like it!

I did my pros and cons previously. Here is one thing I forgot to add. Passenger's seat is not height adjustable, pretty annoying for taller people. Common problem with many cars though.
