You have halogen h1 bulbs now, HIDs use bulbs that have a arc chamber instead of the filament found in halogen bulbs. The ballasts regulate the spark in the arc chamber to make even flicker free light. To initiate that spark the ballast has to draw a large amount of power which can cause fuses...
Ive used it, dont remember the printing/saving situation though. Its useful if you only plan to need access to it once or twice, if you plan to make a habit of needing the materials in the service manual it might be worth getting your hands on a copy through Helms or Ebay
physically possible yes, its just like doing a retro or removing the amber from the turn signals. However the EL wire is not bright enough to be very visible in daylight
you would want to get a plug n play hid kit with h1 bulbs for the low beams and a relay harness for a 9006 setup so it plugs into your car's electrical system
unless you wanted to swap the halogen projectors for HID ones, that would be a far more involved process

if you upload your pictures to sites like photobucket or flickr instead of facebook the camera settings should be embedded and not cleared out. Facebook does all kinds of nasty compression and strips exif data. The data should still be intact on your original files and you can view them in the...
Im sure CBIs are great, but theres no way im spending that much on bulbs. You wouldnt be able to use them without a retro, you need to get rebased bulbs to 9006 for pnp HIDs
yea i guess it is like a break in period, its roughly 150 hours of use, almost all bulbs do it the exception being phillips 81522+ bulbs which stay at 4300k. Ebay bulbs almost always colorshift more than oem bulbs, i had ebay 4300k bulbs that colorshifted pink/purple by the time i got rid of...
