No mods on them. These are newer TSX projectors with the fixed cut off shield to the front part of the projector. To do a color mod, would of meant to add "cereal box" spacers between the lens and the projector housing to move the lens further away from the cut-off shield. I didn't feel like...
I'll post pics later but since it already had a halogen projector, I mounted the HID projector to the same mounting points. Just had to modify the mounting holes on the TSX projector to match.
The bad thing is that I was only able to use 2 of the 3 mounting points.
That's how I aligned mine also....one side at a time. Did that with the stock lights to get the lines on the paper then did the same with the modified lights.
I did notice that on the left side but not as much on the right side. I think I just might roll with it.....kinda need the car tomorrow.
No LED DRL....maybe for later.
webby ethlar and any other HID retro people....need some advise.
Got most of the way done on the TSX projector retro fro my Accord but trying to see what you all think about the cut-off "levelness" before I seal the headlights back up. Trying to decide if I should drive to a parking garage...
I can't remember the exact camber specs I was running on the Si but it took me a little over two years of driving/dragon runs for the tires to show bad camber ware on the tires. I only aligned the car when the rims and tires were put on. I want to say I was running 2 degrees of camber all...
Nothing is really available yet in terms of springs. If you notice those are back ordered. I think in June/July is the last time frame I had heard about. You can buy coil overs if you want now....lol
I would advise against the grinding. To me it seems like you are barely rubbing since there is no groove in the tire, just a little rubbing. I would go with camber around 1.5 degrees or so and keep a steady rotation on the tires.
Camber will cause some extra wear but not enough to worry...
The white line is not where the tire is rubbing. There is too much metal between the line and where the fender ends. Try driving the rear tire onto a curb or load the trunk/rear seat up with weight to get the tire to "tuck" so you can get a good look.
I think you might be able to get away...
