Like most jobs experience is preferred, but depending on the hire status a general working knowledge of the brand your applying for is of course helpful, some people skills, phone etiquette, computer skills, attention to detail. Kind of a good OCD job. I got in by showing up at a Honda Dealer with my first project. A GSR swapped 97 Hatch that I built; filled out an application, the service manger did a quick interview, looked at my car and asked me when I could start and 10yrs later I write this.

I worked with someone who swore Kinchley's was the best pizza. Years later when I finally had a slice, I saw the light. Truly awesome!!
