Exhaust wrap?

Does anyone know of any possible gains of an exhaust wrap(pros/cons)? I have the skunk2 dp and plan on wrapping it.

The main benefit of wrapping the DP or header is to prevent the heat from going back into the engine bay. It wouldn't hurt wrapping it.

Would it really provide that much of a benefit though considering it is coming out of the rear of the engine/compartment? I could see if it came out of the front and under the engine.

Not to say Dar-Dar Is wrong, but there is a lot of negative effects from wrapping anything from headers to the other parts of the exhaust system. I've done a lot of info search time on this. So just to save time, here is a link that covers the basics.

That's a good point. I would prefer ceramic coating as well.

I assumed there was problems associated with "real" headers. And also seeing how out dp is in the rear side of the engine bay, I thought wrapping it would be convenient because there is no where for the heat to escape to other than nearby wires
