That would be an interesting test . . . . to see if ABS works better with rear discs or drums. . . . . dry and wet conditions.

For the most part, I will be driving in normal city traffic. The only time I get on the interstate is a ~10 mile path that I use to get to my brother's place that uses highways, . . . so I don't have to mess with traffic lights. I generally drive normal and don't race at all. When it comes time to buy, I will test drive both the LX and EX to see if I can detect any difference . . . to me.

I am going to wait for the 2014 models, though.

There is more than just the brakes that are different. Aside from creature comforts the split vs. all-or-nothing backseat fold down option is one thing I wish I had gotten the EX over the LX.

I can understand that, but as I stated, in the nearly 16 years I've owned my current car, . . . I can't think of a single time I needed the rear seat down at all. For me, it just isn't an issue. About the only thing that I would like better is the 16" allow wheels.
