Phaheem, as long as you take your time with the measuring (always measure twice!), the install is pretty easy. I highly recommend blue painter's tape over masking tape because it's much easier to reposition should you have to adjust your measurements.

Or wrap the hood with vynle ??? i wrapped mine with carbon after the first week i had the car got a nick on the hood last summer ..its still on and it still looks perfect .
and who ever isnt interested in carbon just get it to match ur car and boom ! DONE lol

I paid 50 bucks for a roll 60x60 and still had plenty left over has to be 3m and i installed it myself so it took about 3 1/2 hrs to do because the hood inst exactly flat i had the wife 5ft tall lol standing on a stool holding it up at one end while i was with the blow dryer and plastic squiggy on the other end going towards her lol
its definitly a two man job not imposible for one person but waaay easier with two ..

and word of advice if using carbon pattern make sure the pattern is going the same way if doing other parts after the hood because if the pattern dosent match it will look wierd lol

there are plenty of videos on youtube showing how to install vynle on a hood i used to be an installer at a shop in NY so its kinda easy for me but with practice anyone can do it really.

9thgizzyguy that looks really good but judging by the scars (not chips) in my bumper, I need nothing short of armor plating.

When the body shop told me they were going to replace my hood due to the hail damage, I wanted to tell them to pass on the OEM hood and put on a CF hood but I hadn't done any research on them and didn't have the time to.

well yeah in your case is understandable ...hail is mush different than a lil nick on the hood
which ever you pick will be good bro its all about what you prefer

I do appreciate the pic. Helps me envision what it would have looked like had I gone with a CF hood. Kinda wish I did but oh well.

eventually ill be a full carbon hood but right now my $$ can go for some better things on the car ...id rather get a set of new shoes for her than a cf hood the only thing about a real carbon hood is that you gotta drill the holes for hood clips or locks so it stays down because the hood popping up and hitting the winshield at 70mph will not be fun lol
and it can only be done right once when doing the holes !

got my yesterday was pain in the butt if you dont measure right have hard time putting on but over all its nice!!!!!

The Oem ones are a fantastic fit. I have had them on 4 of my 9th gen civics so far. No aftermarket one has a better fit and finish IMO. The 3m wrap is also a great choice if you do not like the look of the Factory ones. I live in Canada and the OEM Honda one ran about $160 installed.
