How to disable seatbelt beeping?

First off, I always wear my seat belt while driving, pulling out, and arriving.

My 2012 Civic Hybrid starts beeping as soon as I turn on the radio, it also beeps if I'm in park and with the hand brake on. Is that normal?

Regardless, how do I disable the beeping?

My intent is to be able to sit in my car in the winter with my coat on waiting for the heat to come on without strapping a seatbelt on me; I have it in park and with the handbrake. The beeping is not necessary while in park w/ handbrake.

At first I tried pulling out the white cables that are under the seat (one at a time), but then my air bag indicator light came on, so that's not a solution.

Again, I wear my seatbelt while driving.

Why would you sit in the car waiting for heat? Lock the door with another key from the outside, and go back inside until it's warm. Return in a few moments and unlock it with the key.

My car is a standard, so I can't answer that, maybe someone with an automatic can for you. I know if I am rolling and pull up on the E-brake, it starts beeping at me to release it. Is there a reason you use the E-brake when you put the car in park>? It's not going to roll away on you.... I haven't ever used an E-brake on an automatic, but I guess you can if you like.
