LED strip lights

So I'm trying to figure out where the wires for the dome light come out from the bottom part of the steering wheel but I can't find them. I had done them before in a 8th gen but the wires are completely different and I don't have many tools to work with. My goal is to set the LEDs only when the door is open or when the alarm is activated/unlocked. Have any of u guys tried this or know what color wires they are and where. Thanks

@ethlar - he's pretty good with wiring. I know he doesn't have a 9th gen but sometimes he just knows stuff. Hahahah.

Have you tried pulling any of the fuses or clips out of the interior fuse box with the door open to see if any of them trip the dome light off?

I found a post on a remote starter forum that said for a 2012 sedan:

Dome Supervision pink - below dash fuse box, white 4 pin plug, pin 1

Probably the same sort of plug/clip like in the 8th gen. Might be worth a look or at least open the door and while the dome light is on pull that plug and see if it goes off. If so that's your wires.

Yea i saw that 4 pin plug and that's actually my first guess but when i plugged it in with the LED it did not work.
I'm gonna try that fuse thing u mentioned, i didn't think of that.
