Yes, he was great and what has been missing this whole series. If he has one more of those games left in him, the Spurs will win it.

Danny Green is 48 minutes away from being finals MVP. As someone who's followed him since he was 18 years old, this is unreal. Come one Spurs, just one more game.

I haven't followed Green prior to this year's finals, but he's a great player. If the Spurs do go on to win, which I hope they do, he deserves every bit of the MVP award.

I'd suspect not many people who aren't major college basketball fans haven't. He was no better than a 4th option at any point in his college career. But similarly to how he's playing for the Spurs, he was one of those guys that just did everything. Rebounded, passed, defended, hit big shots. I will tell you he was NO WHERE near the shooter he is now while in college. He was also known for his famous jump around dance before games. It's amazing what a little hard work can do.

Here's a pretty good article, for anyone interested. It talks a little about some of the adversity Danny had to overcome, particularly with his dad being involved with a $40 million drug ring

GAMEDAY.

Can't wait to watch this tonight.... though I strangely feel like I already know the outcome. Heat win by 10+. I pray I'm wrong.

I hope not.

I don't think Pop should let Splitter play as much minutes tonight. He hasn't been that good throughout this series. The Spurs don't really need both Splitter and Duncan playing on the court at the same time. I believe Ginobili starting will give a good start for the Spurs.

I hope not, also lol

I agree. Ginobili should start again.. and Splitter should only see the floor when Duncan needs a blow. He is fine defensively and for rebounding purposes but he is just so god awful on the offensive end he hurts the Spurs. Especially with an offense that likes to feed the post.

I just see the Heat coming out and playing great, like they do every time coming off a loss. We shall see though, that's why they play the game.

Splitter isn't known for holding the ball well at the post or a great post player. He's pretty weak for a big man. I can see Parker making over 25 points tonight.

Did anyone notice why Spoelstra didn't run a point guard on the last several minutes on game 5?

Because the only two pgs MIA has both blow :giggle: But really, they kinda do. Norris Cole is a complete abomination offensively and Chalmers is a head case with a streaky shot.

They should pg by commission and go with a lineup of - James, Wade, Allen, Bosh, Haslem/Birdman. Offense at 4 of 5 positions and a solid post defender/rebounder at the 5.

<--- Doesn't like basketball (NBA)

I was always a huge NBA fan as a kid growing up and then stopped following it for a while when I started to follow college basketball closer. But the last few years I have started to get back into the NBA a lot more.

The regular is just ok, but the playoffs are great to watch.

I never did like Mario Chalmers. Miami had better point guards a few years back, like Gary Payton and Jason Williams.
