Ok this might sound dumb but I just added a skunk 2 down pipe. And I have a full cat back exhaust and intake. My question is, since I added the down pipe. I can hear air rushing when I accelerate. I can't find a leak, could adding the down pipe allow for a faster rate of induction allowing me to hear the Intake more? Or do I have a leak somewhere.?

Have you had the car tuned?

The "hissing" air noise you hear is not a leak. All of the downpipes have that sound, I was told its unburned fuel running through

Mine went away after getting tuned.

I am still in the progress of being tuned, so that is probably why I still have it. I am on map #12 or so with vit now, so here's to hoping mine goes away once I'm finished

I forget what intake you have, but I have the 3.5" PRL SRI and depending on the rpm range and throttle position and I get quite the sucking of air sound. Some people may confuse these.

I still have the stock airbox actually...I bought the PRL short ram but changed my mind and just sold it..... but with the Invidia N1 and Full-Race dp

I also have an RBC and ZDX so adding an intake just made sense. I didn't want to spend the money on the PRL CAI because I have plans to go the turbo route once the warranty is up

Yeah same plans here! But I am wondering if that hiss will go away once I am fully tuned.

At 12 tunes in, you should have at least noticed a reduction in the sound.

I would say there has definitely been a reduction. Plus its MUCH quieter at idle. But its still there when I really get on it ha
