I think that number came from the 6-6 coupe. car and driver tested that combo (v6 w/ 6-spd manual) and got to 60 in 5.6s

According to Motertrend, the 2013 Civic SI does 0-60 in 6.1 and 14.6 in the 1/4 mile, each is about .5 seconds slower than the Accord V6 6sp coupe. Like I said the civic is nearly as fast. But the Civic puts down it's power better due to LSD and also feels much lighter on it's feet. The new accord is a nice car, it is a bit faster in a straight line, but the civic has better brakes (on the v6 accords I have had, there where chronic issues with warped rotors, and the issue has not been fixed in the new one) and handles better due to lower weight and a LSD. Also the Civic Si is about $9000 than a Accord EX-L V6 6sp, and I live in a downtown area and do a lot of city driving, for my driving habits the I will end up getting 5 - 7 MPG better in the Civic Si. If you do a lot of highway travel there really isn't much difference.
