I can only comment on the 8thgen, as I'm not sure if fender/wheel well dimensions are different, but for what its worth, the most aggressive wheel/tire combination I use is the following:

Wheel: Advan RZ
Wheel Dimension: 18 x 8.5 ET 45
Tire Size: 245/35/18
Tire Models Used: Hankook K110 (Evo 12) & Continental DW (*NOT* the "DWS")
Spacer used: 5mm (to clear 2.5" coilover springs - WILL NOT CLEAR OEM DIAMETER SPRINGS)
EDIT:
Camber settings: -1.5 to -1.7* Front; -1.0 to -2.0* Rear

Slight rubbing with the above mentioned - Replaced a driver's side front wheel well plastics once. Though both fronts have been worn through slightly at this point.

I want to ask if the work emotion xd9 18x10 +18 would fit on a 4dr civic si and I lowered it with eibach sportline. Proximately 1.5 inch drop
