I never thanked you for posting this up jack, this is what Im using to set up my new sound system with oem system
attach loc after head unit only.
Anyone knows where is the factory amp located on the honda civic 2012 sedan. I got trouble finding it.
I was told that its in the passenger right foot wall
Wow this is incredible! Now I know exactly which wires I need to splice into for the subwoofer preouts.
It's under the driver footwell. Under the steering wheel
Does it lose signal integrity that much? I attached the loc at the rear speakers and signal was weak and thinking of attaching to front speakers instead as it seems like front speakers sounds way louder/better than the rears.
nope, tap into back of head unit on rear speaker wire.
That means I have to pull the HU again. For those who has a 2013, it's a little different than the 2012. The HU face is all one piece that holds the vent and HVAC controls. It doesn't just pull out as there are two screws holding it. There are six screws to be removed total. The first two is when you open the little compartment right below the HU, unscrew that and pull it towards you and you'll find another two screws underneath it. Unscrew that and at this time you should have a view directly underneath the HU, there are two bolts/screws holding the whole thing.
if you do it again, I'm sure users would love pics/diy info on how to do it. Just a suggestion
I'll tear it apart again and take pictures this time around.
